Boy With Down Syndrome Chosen For OshKosh B’Gosh Ad [Video]

Earlier this year, 16-month-old Asher Nash was turned down by a modeling agency. But his mother was undeterred, and now this young boy with Down syndrome will star in an OshKosh B’Gosh holiday ad.

Meagan Nash of Buford, Georgia, told CBS News that she wanted to show the world that children with special needs could do what anyone else could. To help Asher be considered, she launched a social media campaign that the clothing company eventually picked up on.

Nash hopes that as Asher grows up, he will continue to end misconceptions about children who share his condition. He has since been offered many other opportunities to model for advertisements from companies like Toys “R” Us and Happy Family Brand.
