According to a new survey from the Centers for Disease Control, more than one-third of adults in the U.S. aren’t getting enough sleep. This means most Americans get less than seven hours of sleep a night.
While losing some shut-eye here and there may seem harmless, the American Academy of Sleep Medicine says getting more than seven hours a night is imperative to your health. Failing to do so can increase both stress and the risk of heart disease.
