Nordic Naturals ProEFA is an omega-3 (from fish oil) and omega-6 (from organic borage oil) combination. Nordic Naturals ProEFA provides EPA, DHA, and GLA, important for proper cell signaling and membrane flexibility. ProEFA is enhanced with organic borage oil, advanced lipid stabilizing antioxidants, added Vitamin E, and natural lemon oil added to both the softgel capsule and oil for great taste. The results of a pilot study, reported in the January/February 2005 issue of Autism-Asperger’s Digest, showed beneficial effects of Nordic Naturals ProEFA on language and learning skills in children with autism and Asperger’s syndrome.
Two soft gels of Nordic Naturals ProEFA contains 270 mg of EPA, 180 mg of DHA, 115 mg of other omega-3s, 245 mg omega-6s, 70 mg of GLA, 244 mg omega-9s, and 185 mg Oleic Acid. Ingredients: purified deep sea fish oil (from anchovies and sardines) soft gel capsule (gelatin, water, glycerin, natural lemon flavor), natural lemon flavor, borage seed oil, d-alpha tocopherol, and rosemary extract (a natural preservative).
Suggested use: Two soft gels daily, with food, or as directed by your health care professional or pharmacist.
