Description
This DVD, presented by Dr. Lawrence Leichtman, discusses metabolic abnormalities in Down syndrome and associated medical issues including immune dysfunction, growth status, lipoprotein metabolism, and Alzheimer’s Disease. Dr. Leichtman addresses the rationale for nutritional therapy in Down syndrome in a format that is appropriate for parents, family, caregivers, and medical professionals.
Dr. Leichtman is a board certified Geneticist and Pediatrician who specializes in Down syndrome. He lectures across the country and to date has seen more than 2500 patients of all ages with Down syndrome. Dr. Leichtman also consults on patients who have other genetic syndrome, diagnosed or undiagnosed, as well as individuals with autism, PDD, and ADHD.
